Nikon Photo Contest -2023
The photos are legend from the top left to the bottom right.
1. Rainy Day in Paris: I made a photo of people crossing a Parisian neighborhood. I spotted a crossroads I was passing by. Life seemed monotonous, yet in motion. I took my camera in hands, aimed to shoot the crossroads, and waited for the lights to go green. And when I shut the shutter, I was positively surprised by this guy on his bike entering my frame. I was delighted by his presence. It added action to my scenery.

2. Wednesday Local Market: Every Wednesday, my city hosts a local market. When I took this shot, I was looking for colors and motion. I wanted to show how little things like going to the market, can be vivid and surprisingly inspirational. Colors, shapes and products, gestures, and simple glances can tell more than one story. I wanted to show how simple things can appear as scenery in movies.

3. Biarritz's lighthouse: In this abstract landscape, I wanted to show how mysterious and magical, the ocean can be. Yet the tide is low but divulges an enchanting charisma with its movements. The mix between the rocks – as a foreground and middle ground- and the ocean, make Biarritz’s lighthouse seem so far on its own green hill. Just like in a novel…

4.The little house on a hill: The mastery of discipline… Since the beginning of time, men want to hone the art of combat. It symbolizes empowerment. When I took this shot I wanted to focus on self-empowerment and discipline. With this visual and hyperbolic parallelism, I wanted to convey how this mastery of self-esteem and self-defense is being transmitted from one generation to another and from one culture to another. A need in times of cleavage.
